The observed threshold value for nights with a minimum daily temperature above the 98th percentile for 1971-2000 was plotted for the U.S. Great Plains.
1. At each grid point, the threshold value for nights with a minimum daily temperature above the 98th percentile was calculated for each year (provided data were available for 95% of the days at that grid point). 2. At each grid point, the mean threshold nightly minimum temperature was computed for the period 1971-2000. 3. Data were plotted for all grid points in the U.S. Great Plains.
The duration of this activity was 56 hours.
