The multi-model mean difference in the total precipitation for the wettest 5-day period over a year under the higher emissions scenario (A2) for 2041-2070 relative to 1971-2000 was plotted for the midwestern United States.
1. For each model at each grid point, the total precipitation for the wettest 5-day period over a year under the higher emissions scenario (A2) was calculated for two periods: 1971-2000 and 2041-2070. 2. At each grid point, the total precipitation for the wettest 5-day period over a year for the two time periods was computed by averaging the following models: - cgcm3_t47 - cgcm3_t63 - cnrm - echam5 - echo - gfdl_2.1 - hadcm3 - pcm 3. At each grid point, the difference in the total precipitation for the wettest 5-day period over a year was calculated for 2041-2070 minus 1971-2000. 4. Data were plotted for all grid points in the midwestern United States.
