Methodology:

1. For each of the 32 CMIP5 models downscaled by LOCA (listed below), for each grid point, the annual lowest minimum temperature was determined for each year, for the historical period (converted to degrees Fahrenheit).
2. For each model, for each grid point, the average annual lowest minimum temperature was calculated for the period 1976-2005.
3. A weighted multi-model mean of the average annual lowest minimum temperature for 1976-2005 was calculated for each grid point, using the weighting strategy of Sanderson et al. (2017):

Values across the Southeast U.S. were plotted on a map, using a color scale relative to the region. The USDA Plant Hardiness Zones corresponding to each 5°F temperature range were added to the legend.
