The Ground-Water Climate Response Network consists of a national network of about 140 wells monitored as part of the Ground-Water Resources Program. It is supplemented by more than 200 wells monitored as part of the Cooperative Water Program that meet the same network criteria, which are: open to a single, known hydrogeologic unit; known well construction that allows good water-level measurements; located in unconfined aquifers or near-surface confined aquifers that respond to climatic fluctuations; minimally affected by pumpage and likely to remain so; essentially unaffected by irrigation, canals, and other potential sources of artificial recharge; long-term accessibility; and well has never gone dry (not susceptible to going dry)."^^xsd:string; ## Dates of dataset release and access ## Spatial and temporal information: dcterms:spatial [ a dcterms:Location, gcis:SpatialExtent; gcis:northBoundLatitude "65.0"^^xsd:float; gcis:southBoundLatitude "17.0"^^xsd:float; gcis:eastBoundLongitude "-66.0"^^xsd:float; gcis:westBoundLongitude "-155.0"^^xsd:float; ] ; dcterms:temporal [ a dcterms:PeriodOfTime, gcis:TemporalExtent; ] ; ## Attributes and keywords ## Instrument Instances a gcis:Dataset . ## This entity was produced by an organization: <https://data.globalchange.gov/dataset/usgs-ground-water-climate-response-network> prov:qualifiedAttribution [ a prov:Attribution; prov:agent <https://data.globalchange.gov/organization/us-geological-survey>; prov:hadRole <https://data.globalchange.gov/role_type/data_archive>; ] . ## Also known as: <https://data.globalchange.gov/dataset/usgs-ground-water-climate-response-network> skos:altLabel "5d4e6930-e35c-4dc5-8d68-d3adcfab70db"; gcis:hasURL "http://catalog.data.gov/dataset/5d4e6930-e35c-4dc5-8d68-d3adcfab70db"; skos:exactMatch <https://data.globalchange.gov/lexicon/datagov/identifier/5d4e6930-e35c-4dc5-8d68-d3adcfab70db> . <https://data.globalchange.gov/dataset/usgs-ground-water-climate-response-network> skos:altLabel "ground-water-climate-response-network-direct-download"; gcis:hasURL "http://catalog.data.gov/dataset/ground-water-climate-response-network-direct-download"; skos:exactMatch <https://data.globalchange.gov/lexicon/datagov/dataset/ground-water-climate-response-network-direct-download> .
