The frequency and intensity of extreme high temperature events are <em>virtually certain</em> to increase in the future as global temperature increases (<em>high confidence</em>). Extreme precipitation events will <em>very likely</em> continue to increase in frequency and intensity throughout most of the world (<em>high confidence</em>).
