California Power Plants Potentially at Risk from Sea Level Rise
This figure appears in chapter 4 of the Climate Change Impacts in the United States: The Third National Climate Assessment report.
Rising sea levels will combine with storm surges and high tides to threaten power-generating facilities located in California coastal communities and around the San Francisco Bay. Sea level rise and more intense heavy precipitation events increase the risk of coastal flooding and damages to infrastructure (Ch. 3: Water).
