This figure appears in chapter 19 of the Second State of the Carbon Cycle Report (SOCCR2): A Sustained Assessment Report report.

The percentage of total model variance or spread attributed to internal variability, model uncertainty, and scenario uncertainty in projections of cumulative global carbon uptake differs widely between (a) ocean and (b) land. The ocean carbon cycle is dominated by scenario uncertainty by the middle of the century, but uncertainty in the land carbon cycle is mostly from model structure.
